Name: Torrentialstar
Warrior Name: Torrentialclaw
Age: 37 Moons
Gender: Male
Clan: ShadowClan
Position: Leader
Description:
Torrentialstar is not your "average ShadowClan cat" when it comes to appearance. At least, he's not what I think of when someone says ShadowClan. His coat is mostly snow white in color, but dappled along his back and on his flanks, there are light gray spots as well. His ears are a smokey gray color, matching the stripes on his legs. His tail is banded with dark stripes, the end being completely black. On his forehead and above his eyes, he has almost symmetrical lines of gray that have a unique pattern. From his pink nose up to these lines, his fur is light gray. His eyes are a striking glacier blue that, when he is angered, turns to stormy indigo. His build is more like that of a WindClan cat, in that it is very light and thin. He's a fairly tall cat with a long tail and legs that add to his sleek look. Don't be fooled though. Beneath all this he hides powerful muscles, built up from years in the forest. As with most Clan cats, Torrentialstar has his share of scars from past battles, hunts, etc. The most noticeable of these, is a large nick that was taken out of his left ear in a skirmish with a pair of rogues. He also has a ragged mark on his flank from a badger invasion in a past Greenleaf. Overall, he's a pretty balanced and good looking sort of fellow that stands out in a crowd.
Personality:
Over the years, Torrentialstar's personality has changed little aside from the natural maturing that happens to all cats as they grow. Of course, as a kit he was more happy-go-lucky and playful; as an apprentice, stubborn at times, but eager and willing to learn; and as a warrior, loyal and trustworthy. Through his entire life, he has been steadfast in his belief in StarClan, though he has not always been popular among his Clan mates. When he was a warrior, he was arrogant, full of himself, and prideful. Sadly, this hasn't changed a whole lot, but he really does care for his Clan and would always put them first before himself without hesitation. So, to break it down a bit: On the outside, he likes to make it known that he's good looking, strong, and in a position that makes him powerful. However, he would never use this power to push cats around and always enforces orders that are just and will benefit every cat possible. He never leaps into battle without considering his options, and would not kill another cat unless it was completely necessary. In battle, he does fight with everything he has to keep his Clan safe, and does not hold back if he knows they are in danger. He is respectful to other leaders, but will voice his opinion at Gatherings if he disagrees. He knows the history ShadowClan holds as being the most viscous and battle-hungry Clan, and hopes to break that stereotype under his leadership. He is also fully aware of the leaders that have come before him, and knows it will take a long time before they no longer represent ShadowClan. All he can do is lead his Clan in the best way he sees possible, keep them strong, stick to the Warrior Code, and hope it's enough.
History:
Torrentialkit was a wild and mischievous little fellow. Some would've said that he caused more trouble than he was worth. (Of course, they don't think that now.) Born to a litter of six, he knew from the start what it was like to have a big family and to be cared for. He has kept that need for company even till today, and still loves being around other cats and spending time with them. It is rare for him to go off on his own, and he usually only likes to be alone when he is hunting. His mother, a loyal ShadowClan queen, cared for him and his brothers and sisters as best she could, though the large litter combined with her age did result in early retirement to the elder's den later on. His proud father watched every step of the way as his offspring grew into fine warriors, and stood by them until he passed away, shortly after they got their new names.
One of the six kits, soon after being made an apprentice, was killed before he got to be a warrior when he went off on his own and was attacked by a fox. Torrentialpaw, along with his other siblings and a warrior, chased the fox off their territory, even though the young tom insisted they kill it. The result of the incident was a life long hate for the creatures that has never left him. Though he grieved the loss for moons after, he continued to work hard to become a warrior, and couldn't have been more excited the day that he received his new name of Torrentialclaw.
Once he became a warrior, Torrentialclaw seemed to put on a new enthusiasm and determination. He went on every patrol that would take him, hunted on his own time, and did everything with a light in his eyes. It was no surprise when he was named the next Deputy of ShadowClan. Though he was still arrogant, his paws were guided by StarClan, and his path clearly lead to leadership.
After the former leader lost his ninth life, Torrentialclaw was honored with the new name of Torrentialstar, and was given his own nine lives. Ever since, he has been working with everything in him to serve his Clan and make them the best he can. He has become much more popular among his Clan mates, and has even worked on keeping his ego down to a tolerable level.
Activity: I can (and will) be on just about every day except for some weekends.
Leader's Role: 1: They speak for the Clan at Gatherings, of course without making them sound weak, and so pay attention to what's going on inside the Clan and on the territory. 2: They decide what to do if a threat is posed against the Clan and decide when and when not to get involved in a battle. 3: They get messages from StarClan either directly, or from the medicine cat, and use them to benefit and protect their Clan in the best way possible.
