Viperstrike is a lean black tom with thicker fur than most WindClan cats. He has thin yellow eyes that are very narrowly shaped. He has the long lean legs of a WindClanner, and is faster than a lot of other cats due to his longer claws. He has very angular, pointed ears and a stern, though handsome face. His fur is very silky and he is often mistaken at first glance for a kittypet.
Personality:
Viperstrike is a proud, loyal cat. He's caring and doesn't like to hurt other cats' feelings. He appreciates honor and strength and bravery, and is more respectful of other Clans and cats than many other warriors are. Viperstrike is level-headed and understands others better than he would like sometimes. He tries to make everyone around him happy, often at his own expense.
History:
Viperstrike was born to a WindClan queen named Tigereye. He had one brother, Galekit. Their father was a kittypet named Gamble. Tigereye, who was a loyal and fierce warrior, had been surprised at how fast she'd fallen in love with the charismatic cat. When her kits were apprenticed, she took them to meet their father. Gamble loved his sons, but he was never as close as he wanted to be to Viperpaw. Galepaw loved his father and was fascinated by his way of living. But Viperpaw felt as if his mother had betrayed the Clan, and he hated it. Galepaw ended up leaving the Clan to join his father in the Twolegplace. Viperkit felt crushed, and he became deeply attached to the cats close to him. He'd visit Galepaw frequently, which got him into trouble often. His Clanmates were suspicious of him, but they accepted him while his mother was alive. However, the day came when Tigereye caught a bad bought of greencough and passed on to StarClan. Viperpaw went through a time when he cared about nothing but his Clan. He stopped visiting Galepaw and his father and began hunting and training more. Soon he was named Viperstrike. He spent what seemed a long time performing his new duties. Then he began to wonder about Galepaw and Gamble. He returned to the Twolegplace every now and then to search for them, but it was difficult when he didn't know exactly where they lived. It was on one of these ventures that he met her. He heard cats calling out and ran to see what was happening. He came in time to see a tom throw himself in front of a she-cat to save her from an angry Twoleg. Viperstrike watched as the she-cat was dragged off by another cat. He waited until the Twoleg went inside and then ran to see if the tom was okay. The cat was barely alive, and he only had time to look into Viperstrike's eyes before he died. Viperstrike went back to the Clan, but he couldn't stop thinking about the two cats that had escaped. What had happened to them? He went looking for them and found the injured one - Lily. He talked to her about WindClan and she seemed enraptured with the idea. When he got back to camp, he went to talk to his leader and told him about the two cats he'd seen fighting off a twoleg (he didn't mention the Twolegplace though). His leader agreed to let them into the Clan if they proved useful. Viperstrike told this to Lily and she seemed willing to join, if her sister could too. Viperstrike assured her that would be okay and that was how the two cats joined WindClan. Viperstrike considered Lilybreeze a very close friend. But when she told him that she loved him, he didn't know what to say. He didn't love her the way she loved him. But he couldn't bear to hurt her, so he became mates with her to make her happy. It hurt him to lie to her, but he wanted to keep their friendship strong no matter what.
