Okay, this is downright pathetic. I'll just get us going now.
Sleetkit realized something that everyone seemed to have overlooked. "Wait, where's Fernkit? We can't become apprentices if we're not all here!" Though he didn't show it, Talonkit was also concerned on where their sister went. "We need to find her!"
A wail from the nursery announced the arrival of Fernkit. "Wait for me!" She stumbled from the bramble thicket (or whatever they use as a nursery), trying in vain to wash herself up before dashing up to her family, stumbling over her own paws. Reaching Sleetkit, she whined, "You could have woken me up, you know."
Talonkit snorted, flicking his tail back and forth behind him. "You shouldn't need waking up for your own ceremony." he retorted with a sneer.

He padded into the camp right then. He had just caught two mice and a squirrel. Though when he looked around the camp he saw everyone gathering. Of course! It was those kit's time to be apprentice's wasn't it? Ragingwater hurried to place his catch on the freshkill pile and went to go site down. Why hadn't he remembered this before? He sighed annoyed, but that feeling was over quickly.

ooc; sorry for the delay. Also, all the RPers of the mentors I had planned and talked to for these apprentices are somehow gone..so... here we go. I'm afraid some of your warriors will be getting apprentices without previous notice.

The leader at last cleared his throat, ready to raise his voice again. "Fernkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Fernpaw. I ask StarClan to watch over you and guide you until you find in your paws the strength and courage of a warrior.
Fogstorm, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You have shown yourself to be loyal and wise. You will be mentor to Fernpaw, and I expect that you pass all your knowledge to her.
Brackenstar waited for the warrior and apprentice to touch noses before continuing.

Darkflame, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You have shown yourself to be patient and brave. You will be the mentor of Vaporpaw and I expect you to pass all you know to him.
Yet again, amber eyes gazed softly at his clan as he allowed time for warrior and apprentice to touch noses.
He took a deep breath, his throat not yet used to such strain, readying himself to keep talking loudly. There were three other kits to apprentice.
ooc; I'm sorry I powerplayed a bit there. I want to have this kits apprenticed already. The ceremony has already lasted too long. By the way, it is clear that Emeraldkit's mentor will be Flameheart, he will be a med. cat apprentice. I will see about Sleetkit and Talonkit promptly.

Vaporpaw looked up at his leader with solemn eyes, trying to keep his body from shaking as nervousness and excitement seemed to grab a hold of his stomach and squeeze it repeatedly. When he heard the name of his mentor, he let out a low sigh, feeling at least grateful that it was a strong warrior. He turned, looking for Darkflame in the crowd, ready despite all of his uneasiness to begin his training at last.

Emeraldkit watched intently, his good eye taking in the scene with great intensity. Hardly any light danced in the vision of his blue eye now, all he could see was shadows.
This ceremony seemed so important and powerful. A beam of pride came deep from within him, and it felt as if Starclan was here, watching this important moment in the lives of his peers. He let out a sigh of amazement. Soon, these cats would be warriors and under his care. His litter mates may be getting warrior mentors, but soon, he would be like a mentor to all of Riverclan. They would look to him for advice and healing. Emeraldkit closed his eyes, for the first time truly proud of the path he was taking. A quick vision of his mother's face appeared to him before he blinked open his eyes again.
He could hardly wait to call out the names of the new apprentices.

Fernpaw squeaked in delight as Brackenstar called her by her new name. Fogstorm was named her mentor, and the new apprentice jumped to her paws to rush over to the warrior. She tripped on her paws half-way there, and skidded on her belly the rest of the way. Sleetkit and Talonkit, the only two who haven't been named yet, winced at the same time. They knew it was a common occurance for their littermate to fall everywhere, but it still caused sympathy to stir in them.
Ripplestream huffed a small laugh before being nudged sharply in the side. He glared at the offender, momentarily blinking when he found the dark blue gaze of the former kittypet Violetheart. She hissed softly, "Be nice, mister! This is an important time for them!" |

Ok, let's just get this over with. Seriously people, we really need to at least TRY to post next clan meeting/gathering.
Apprentice --> Mentor
Talonpaw --> Ragingwater
Sleetpaw --> Brackenstar
Emeraldpaw --> Flameheart (med. cat apprentice)
Now, off to RP.
