Pic: Name: Lilybreeze Age: 24 moons Gender: She-cat Clan: WindClan Position: Warrior *preferably no apprentice please because of how shy she is; I don’t think she would be a good mentor… It’s fine if she ends up with one though- she can make do*
Description: Lilybreeze is a large she-cat. She isn’t fat in the least, but her fur is very long and thick, giving her the look of a well-fed cat expected of most kittypets. Her pelt is a normal calico pattern, mostly orange and brown with black spots and a white underbelly. She has a white muzzle that turns into an arrow pointing up her forehead. Her ears are large and bright orange. Lilybreeze’s tail is a bit matted from not being brushed, but it is feathery at the end. She has heavy paws, but three of her claws in her right front paw are missing. She has a long scratch on her left side moving from her left front ankle to the beginning of her tail. It’s not deep, but it hasn’t healed. If she isn’t careful, it could wrench. She must be careful while training or hunting. The WindClanner’s hind left paw is a bit crooked, but she can walk fine on it. It only causes her to limp if she has been busy all day. She has round, stunning moss green eyes that pierce you, begging you for sympathy. Most of her whiskers are cut short.
Personality: Lilybreeze is afraid of her own shadow. She is very jumpy around crowded and loud places. She is also extremely shy. The fact that she lives in WindClan is pretty lucky for her since she hates tight spaces; the open moors are great for her to see all around her. She can breathe better out there. Meeting new cats is hard for her to do because she doesn’t trust easily. In fact, the only cats she trusts are her mate, her sister (whom she secretly visits occasionally), and the WindClan high ranks. Lilybreeze never talks to strangers -- at Gatherings, she stays away from everyone else unless her mate tries to get her to meet new people.
She might be reclusive, but she is also very friendly. Once she gets to know you and you prove to be trustworthy, Lilybreeze will offer advice for any of your problems. She is amazing at giving advice and can always find a way to help someone else out. She can tell if someone is lying, and she knows when somebody is lonely and needs a friend. Lilybreeze is desperately in love with her mate. She always tries her best to make him happy and proud to be her mate. She also believes that he loves her the same way although he does not. She wishes to have kits with him and tells herself that if she did have kits, she would make herself be a bit more outgoing to send a good message for them. Truth is she would probably be a very, very overprotective mother.
Lilybreeze hates twolegs because of her past. She is also a fast runner from experience which helps her fit right in with WindClan.
History: Born to Frosty and Willy, Lily and Rose were the two sweetest kittens you could ever meet. They were always helpful and always good listeners. When their parents told them to do something, they did it with no complaints. Their twolegs were caring and kind and they gave the kittens everything they needed. However, they had a nasty neighbor. Whenever he came over, he went out of his way to kick the kittens around. When they were about five moons old, the family came home one day with a tiny twoleg kit. It quickly took over their lives, and they were shipped off to the neighbor’s house. Frosty and Willy were sent away to never be seen again.
Upon arrival, the rules were made clear to the kittens by the one cat that lived there.
1) Don’t get in the twoleg’s way. If you do, then most likely you’ll be kicked out of the way. 2) Don’t ever ask to be fed. When the twoleg lets you out at the end of the day, try to scavenge what you can from other houses. 3) Never be loud or touch something of the twoleg’s or he’ll beat you.
Lily and Rose never fully settled in as they lived every day of their life in fear. They were always hungry and became sick way too often. The two sisters fought for survival each day. When they were let out at night, they mewled at every door they could. Sometimes they would be tossed a stray piece of something called “bread”, but other times they would get nothing. The first tragedy struck when they had gone three days without eating. Rose wouldn’t get up. No matter how hard Lily tried to get her up, she wouldn’t move. Lily went straight to the one other cat there and asked him what to do. His only advice was for her to bring her some food, and quickly. Lily went out that night for hours, trying to get one little morsel for her sister. By the time she got back, carrying some bits of cat food wrapped in a leaf, the twoleg already had the door shut and locked. She knew better then to try to get in, so she leaped onto the window pane outside and slid through the cracked window. The house was quiet, and Lily held her breath, trying not to make a sound. The calico kitten moved slowly and silently along the kitchen countertop, keeping her tail still. She saw the shape of her sister lying on the floor in a corner beside a dry, crusty bowl. “Rose,” she whispered. “Here! Eat.” Lily dropped the leaf into the bowl and let the few pellets roll out. Rose picked up her head carefully, then set it back down. “I can’t, Lily. I need water.” Lily closed her eyes tightly, and curled up into a ball next to her sister. “Tomorrow we’ll go get water. I swear it.” Rose barely nodded before she fell asleep. The next day, they successfully found water and a bit more food. For a while, the kittens were okay again.
The next bad event happened about four moons later. Lily was washing herself one day while Rose and the other cat were gone to look for food. She heard a noise behind her, and quickly looked up to see the twoleg behind her, growling. In it’s giant paw it held a box. Lily mewled and backed away, eyes flitting around nervously. Suddenly, the twoleg sprang. Lily yowled and ran, diving under the sofa in the biggest room of the house. Infuriated, the twoleg reached under to grab for her. Threatened, the she-cat dug her claws into his paw and hissed. Crying out, the twoleg grabbed for her, and snagged her paw. He drug her out from under the sofa by her hind left paw, twisting it. Lily yowled in pain, crying for help. The twoleg threw her down into the box, and before she could recover, he had shut it to where she could not get out. Whimpering, Lily did nothing but curl up and try to sleep. Later that day, she awoke to sounds of scratching on her box. The she-cat mewled softly, “Rose?” A soft voice answered, “Lily, I’m trying to get you out of here! Now hush.” Lily said nothing, but a soft purr rose up from her heart. After a moment of shuffling, the box started to lean, and then it toppled over sideways. Lily clawed the opening of it and squeezed out. She rubbed her head against Rose and thanked her over and over. Rose patted her head with her tail, then motioned for her to follow her outside. “You’re okay,” she seethed. “But that other cat isn’t.” The two she-cat scampered through the cat door quickly to find the twoleg outside holding a shiny object. He was staring menacingly at the other cat whilst the cat hissed, throwing it’s claws out in anger. Lily threw herself straight at the twoleg. It stared down at her in surprise, then used it’s big paw to hit her and send her sprawling onto the uncut grass and weeds. She felt a horrible pain in her side, and she looked down, gasping. A cut ran all along her side, and little bits of blood were starting to well up on it. Rose stared in horror as the twoleg raised the sharp object, about to hit Lily. Realizing that she had saved his life once, the other cat made a decision. He knew that his time was over, and it would be better to escape the twoleg that was constantly torturing him. Because of this, he jumped on top of Lily, and the object went straight through his neck. He lay on the ground, writing in pain. After a second, his eyes glazed over, and he was still. A peaceful look was on his face as he had finally said goodbye to the cruel world in which he had lived. The twoleg was speechless for a moment as he stared at the cat he had owned for so long. Taking that chance, Rose ran up to Lily and grabbed her scruff, yanking her out from under the dead cat’s body. Lily shook herself, and the two she-cats ran to another corner of the closed-in yard. The twoleg had seemingly had enough for one day, so he went inside, slamming the door behind him. Lily and Rose examined Lily’s scar carefully. It wasn’t too deep, but extreme movement would most likely harm it. Lily and Rose decided to sleep outside that night; it was warmer outside than the freezing twoleg den. As they were curled up under the stars together, Rose fell asleep quickly. Her breathing was heaving, but Lily pressed her paw into her side to see if she was still alive anyway. She had no idea what she would do without her sister. As the night wore on, Lily got a bit curious. She had heard that past the very high chain link fence that enclosed her and her sister, there were scary forest cats that would use their fangs to suck your blood, then use your dead body for sacrifices. So quietly, Lily crept to the edge of the fence and peered out into the windy moorland. For some reason, she felt like she was being watched, but she didn’t know why. In wonder, she squinted her eyes and looked harder, and THERE. Something had moved. Her breath caught in her throat, and she saw movement once more. Then suddenly, a cat appeared. It was a tom, blacker than midnight itself. What gave him away was his piercing yellow stare, looking straight through her. Lily tilted her head at him, but he kept staring. Then, he disappeared. Lily went back to sleep, still wondering. The next night she decided to sleep outside again. Once again, the cat was there. On the third night she decided to do this, Lily called out, “Hello!” It was then that she met him. His name was Raveneye and he was a forest cat warrior of a “Clan” named WindClan. He had noticed her problem, and watched her friend die, all from behind the mesh fence. Lily was attracted to him. He was so mysterious, and she liked it.
This was the cat that would help her escape from her prison. She was already charmed by him and his lifestyle, but she wanted more. She wanted to live with him, to be his best friend. She wanted his world and hers to revolve around each other all the time. She wanted… she wanted to be his mate. She wanted to be loyal to only him and Rose. So when he offered to take her to WindClan, she agreed happily with only one condition. They let Rose come to. However, Rose wasn’t thrilled. She wanted to leave, but wanted nothing to do with “WindClan and their ways”. With that thought in mind, they took her back to their first twoleg den. There, the old twolegs greeted Rose back with open arms, and there she stayed.
