9-11 Remember!

I know not everyone here is an American, but everyone here can understand how uncertain the times are that we live in. Let's not forget the lives lost on 9-11 and the subsequent wars that have killed so many people.

I'm not supporting or opposing the wars. I'm asking that we remember the lives of the people.

I completely agree. I too am not for wars or against them...not with what I've lived through and seen. My father is retired military and I know that Snow has relation in the military as well; diferent countries but it all ends the same. People die; people we might know, people who are just another number to most. To me, that is heartbreaking.

It's heartbreaking that people become a number in history books. Heartbreaking that people die because of thier religion, or because someone higher up says to. People also die because of how they look, albinos in Africa have limbs chopped off so that thier attackers can get money.

The problem with this world is that there are too many people focused on thier narrow day to day lives who don't even think of things like this. Another problem is that there are probably only a couple handfuls willing to actually change it.

Precisely. 9-11 is a day to remember, but it is also a day to make a commitment to remember what you truly value. I think of "Live Like We're Dying":

ahh I love you! That song is awesome, it actually helped me in my Physics class (86,400 seconds in the day helped me when I needed to find how much seconds were in 85 years, lolol xD).

You don't... really? I thought you did... I remember a converstaion with you about someone being in the military... or was that someone else that I rped with? Sorry Snow... maybe I got you mixed up with someone else...

I know I don't do anything to help...but that doesn't stop me from trying to think of ways to help. I always think about things like this at least once a day... I don't know maybe I'm wierd or my heart is wanting to do too many things at once... no clue...I'm just wierd. ;D

Yeah I totally know what you mean. I mean, I know the situation in, say, Pakistan is really grave, but I don't know what I can do about it. I can't just go to Pakistan and offer help because 1) I have no money to travel that far 2) I have to think about school. But at least I'm aware of the situation you know, and I try to value what I have. And being aware of those kinds of things (like you are) is what is really important, because then we can spread our awareness. You'd be surprised what companies do to spread awareness, it's impressive. So yeah I guess we're both a bit weird xD
