Description:
Personality:
History:
She was a rather hyperactive kit. Not to say she isn't a hyperactive warrior, she just puts more of her energy into serving her Clan than playfighting with her sister. Oh yes, Squirrelfire did indeed have a sister. Leafkit was her name. It was her ambition to be a medicine cat. But their father, a warrior named Berryblaze, thought medicine cats as weak. He refused to acknowledge Leafkit until she swore to become a warrior. After that, Berryflight was a right-as-rain father.
Their mother, Sorrelflight, wasn't so keen on Leafkit following her father's orders. It was a silent debate between the two on where Leafkit's destiny lay. But Squirrelkit promised her sister that, no matter what she chose, she would have her sister's help.
To Squirrelpaw and Sorrelflight's disappointment, Leafpaw followed her father's wishes and became a warrior apprentice. It wasn't difficult to see just how miserable Squirrelpaw's sister was. To make the transition easier, the leader had given her a kind, gentle mentor. Squirrelpaw herself was given a mentor with no patience, and always incited her fury. The two trained side by side nearly every day. After their second Gathering, though, Leafpaw seemed a bit... distracted. It was after that, though, that Leafpaw seemed to really put her heart into being a warrior. She hunted swiftly and fought harder. It wasn't until the night they became warriors that she understood why.
Warrior
The night of their silent vigil, Leafstrike had gone to make dirt... and never returned. Squirrelfire went out with the search patrol. It shocked her to find her sister's scent mingling with that of a WindClan tom, named Crowfrost. They went to the WindClan camp, finding Leafstrike sitting in front of the WindClan cats.
When Squirrelfire heatedly interrogated her sister, Leafstrike said she'd always intended to leave ThunderClan to be with Crowfrost. That's why she had trained so hard; to give the service to her birth-Clan that it deserved. Squirrelfire saw the happiness in Leafstrike's eyes when she spoke of the dark gray tom, and finally relented to allowing her sister her freedom.
Squirrelfire has to thank Berryblaze for something, at least. By forcing her into being a warrior, Leafstrike hadn't felt so obligated to stay in ThunderClan.
