Name: Pantherpaw
Age: 7 & 1/2 moons
Alliance: Shadowclan
Rank: Apprentice
Gender: Tom
Appearance: Pantherpaw, when compared to most apprentices, is simply massive. At this time, he even looks a bit chubby, because he still has to outgrow some of his baby flab. However, he has a very steady structure, and promises to be a powerful cat in the future. His paws are oddly big, and at the moment they look downright gangly, making him look akward. His pelt is black, so black that in the right light it seems to have a blue sheen. His eyes glitter a crimson red color. Sometimes it can be very unnerving to have this apprentice stare at you, especially at night, when his body seems to dissaper, and all you can see are his eyes.
Pantherpaw's tail is very long, and prehaps the most graceful part of his whole boy. It is thin, and the fur thins out along its length. The downfall of Pantherpaw's size is that it will make it more difficult for him to hunt for prey in the future, for he will have to be much softer on his paws then most cats. The advantage to his size, however, is that he promises to be a strong fighter.

Personality: Pantherpaw, in a word, is very introverted. Its very difficult to crack him open and see what he is thinking. He never wears his 'heart on his sleeve'. Many cats believe him to be arrogant, for when bothered he can be very cold. However, the truth is, Pantherpaw just prefers to keep to himself. Why give other's the chance to exploit a weakness? If he doesn't show his mental state, then no one can blame him for it. And if he doesn't speak up, he can't get in trouble.
However, actions speak louder then words, and Pantherpaw often breaks rules. He leaves camp many times at night, simply to explore, and perhaps hunt a bit. He also loves to 'play hunt' with already killed freshkill, an act many times preformed by kits. Sometimes he will ambush an ally apprentice, or maybe even a warrior, just for the sheer fun of it. All in All, Pantherpaw is a little apathetic, introverted, trouble-maker.
History: Pantherpaw's history has been a rather dull one. He was born to a queen within Shadowclan camp, and when he was old enough to be by himself, she left the nursery, and returned to her own warrior duties. He doesn't know, nor care, who his father is. Perhaps its a warrior in the clan, perhaps its not, his mother never saw fit to share this piece of information with him. When Pantherpaw was a kit, many cats believe that something was wrong with him, because of his larger-then-normal paws. As he grew, however, they soon learned that he was big in general, and they now know that he will eventually grow into himself.
When Pantherkit became 6 moons old, only 1 and a half moons ago, he was given his name of Pantherpaw. Now he trains as an apprentice.
The only exciting thing that happened to him was when he was about 5 moons old. He and an apprentice got into a fight, which ended with the two moving out of camp, and thus, getting attacked by a badger. Pantherpaw, at this age, had never seen such a creature, and was for the first time in his life, severely frightened. The apprentice he had been arguing with told him to get back to camp, and get help. However, Pantherpaw was frozen in fear, and because of his unwillingness to act, watched as a clanmate was struck down.
He thinks about the moment often now, and has never ceased blaming himself.

((He is still Pantherkit Here.))
~It was dark, nearly the full moon, the time when the warriors of his clan would leave for the gathering. It made him angry to think about it, seeing as he would not be going. Sure, he knew that he was not yet old enough, and that his time would come, but still. He couldn't stand the apprentice's smug looks they gave him as they passed, whispering in eachother's ears. Pantherkit knew he was strong, that he could make the journey, so why couldn't he go??
He sat pondering, sulking, in the mouth of the nursery. His long tail flicked back and forth in the dirt beneath him, and every now and then he would let out a small growl. What did they see him as, some helpless kit? He would be an apprentice in a moon, just one moon! It was hardly a chunk in time. Why couldn't they just let him go now, and be over with it?
Pantherkit's musings were interrupted by a slight shadow that fell over him, and the black-pelted kit looked up, straight into the eyes of one of the older apprentices of Shadowclan. There was a sneer on the other cat's face, and Pantherpaw stiffened. He knew this would lead to no good.
"Whats wrong, Pantherkit? Sad because you can't come to the gathering too? Why, Panther, don't you know? You'll never be able to go! Your so...so weird looking! What with those big old paws and all. Our good old leader isn't going to want someone like you around, making out clan look bad!" The apprentice chuckled, and moved away, his head and tail held high. And before he knew it, Pantherkit had launched himself at the other cat, small claws unsheathed.
In a split second, the two were locked in a rolling conflict. There fight led them out of there camp, but neither noticed. Pantherkit was too busy trying to claw the face of his supposed enemy, and the apprentice was too busy defending himself. "You crazy kit! Let go of..." The apprentice stopped suddenly, as did Pantherkit, for they had both heard the same noise. A growl. And it did not have the gruffness of any cat they knew.
They leaped apart, spinning around, coming face to face with a disgusting looking creature. "Badger!" Yelled the apprentice, his eyes going wide. "Pantherkit! Go get help!" He continued to yowl, before suddenly throwing himself at the badger, trying to give the kit time. But Pantherkit was frozen with fear and shock, and could do nothing but stare at the black and gray creature as it attacked the apprentice.
The young kit couldn't find the strength to move until the badger cut down the apprentice, leaving him bloodied on the ground, and turned to move on to the kit. As Pantherkit raced back to camp, the image of the apprentice burned in his mind.
What had he done?
