Name:
Umberkit::Umberpaw::Umberblaze
Age:
Fourteen Moons
Gender:
Tom
Clan:
Thunderclan
Position:
Warrior
Description:
Umberblaze's coat is medium-length, thick, and silky to the touch. His fur is a warm ruddy brown for the most part with black ticking. His feet and the back of his hind legs are pitch black. At the base of his tail starts a thin line of black fur that trails down the length of his tail ending by giving his tail a black tip. His chin and his just to the sides of his nose are white in color. Umberblaze's eyes are green with golden flecks.
Personality:
To most Umberblaze would seem like a moody cat who doesn't say much and prefers to sunbathe than to interact with a large group. But that is only a small part of him in truth Umberblaze does like to have some time to himself but he isn't antisocial. Umberblaze does enjoy his time with his clanmates and is rather witty. He can come up with one liners almost instantly and he isn't afraid to talk back to elder warriors. He is a skilled fighter and hunter but he has a small streak of laziness. If he can get out of a patrol then he will. Umberblaze has also been known to give others whiplash, in other words he can be happy one moment but if another cat says the wrong thing, the next moment Umberblaze is about to bite their head off.
History:
Umberkit was kitted along with another tom and a she-cat. The three spent most of their time with each other or with their mother during their kithood. Umberkit knew who his father was and he visited his kits from time to time. Umberkit's mother and father's relationship was brief. His mother began to indulge her kits because to her they were all she had. The three became quite spoiled at their young age for when ever they did something naughty they weren't punished but for the fair few times they were punished it was by another cat, not their mother.
Umberkit felt that he was ready to become a warrior right away unlike his sister who preferred to spend her time with other kits and his brother who didn't much care. To prove to his clan that he was ready Umberkit snuck out of camp while his mother and siblings were sleeping. His plan was simple, catch some prey and bring it back to camp. Afterall once his clanmates saw how much prey he brought back the leader would just have to skip the apprentice ceremony and make him a warrior right then and there....yeah...
Well, to so that his great scheme didn't go according to plane would be an understatement. As Umberkit wandered through Thunderclan territory he kept coming across a foul stench that he didn't know the source of. Like any naive kit he ignored it and to his credit Umberkit did manage to catch a mouse before he ran into a fox. Umberkit blanked out after that. The next morning the dawn patrol found him crying pitifully in a tree resembling a hedgehog with his fur spiked out in fear. Once the patrol managed to calm him down enough Umberkit told them why he left camp and what happened or the very least what he remembered.
Once he returned to camp he was chewed out by the leader, his mother, and most surprisingly his father. At this point Umberkit didn't need to hear their words he learned his lesson. He wasn't ready to become a warrior, he couldn't combat a fox he needed more time to get ready. As his apprentice ceremony neared Umberkit became more humble.
As a fresh apprentice Umberpaw wanted to prove himself by taking down a fox. But first he had to prove himself to his clanmates. They had seen him grow up as a spoiled rotten kit who thought every cat was at this beck and call. At first he had some difficulty for each time he stepped a paw out of line he was scolded with basically the same words, 'you are not better than everyone else'. Umberpaw became frustrated to say the least. He found it difficult to prove himself when he kept getting shot down. So he began to push himself, if the others wouldn't see that he had changed he would make them see.
Umberpaw began to volunteer for every border patrol and every hunting patrol that he could, and even cleaned out the Elder's den when noone else did. He did all the grunt work, sometimes running errands for the medicine cat. But with countless patrols, his normal apprentice duties, and training Umberpaw began to become exhausted. His usual talking back to his mentor began to stop and it got to the point that his reactions were so slowed that when his chance to get a fox came he would have been killed if it weren't for his clanmates.
Completely exhausted and malnourished Umberpaw was sent to the Medicine cat who told him that he wasn't to do any duties or participate in patrols for a week. Just as Umberpaw was about to argue his mentor came and told him that he had done enough for his clan and that Umberpaw could take a break and above all, he was very proud of his apprentice.
That was all Umberpaw really needed to hear.
After his respite Umberpaw's life became easier for the most part he continued his day to day life but far easier than it was before. With proper care he proved himself to be a valuable member of the clan and in due time was given his warrior ceremony thus becoming Umberblaze.
Though he still needs to get that fox
