They told us that we needed to change. They said it would help us survive. They said it was what StarClan wanted. Their message to us, the message that I did not understand. I was only a kitten then. They said that sometimes our most trusted advisors are wrong, and that sometimes the answer is too plain for us to see. I was one of the hopeful few that would believe them with a shadow of a doubt. I never took things lightly, but it seemed everyone else did. Those who rebelled died, and we all supposed that was StarClan's way. I guess sometimes, we take advantage of a situation.
And this fire was only the beginning.
