The petite apprentice couldn't believe what the Windclan leader had done to her. Hissing for all she was worth, the gray tabby stalked to the border with Thunderclan, noticing that the area got more bushy as she neared the border. There were even some trees on their side, too. Silverpaw swiped a clawed paw at the trunk of one, leaving four thin, white lines on the dark bark. "Tch.." She spat, really annoyed. Why did everyone insist that she get along with that apprentice in particular? He got on her nerves with his dullness and thick-headedness. My, he was so boring. Why, why, by Starclan, did Northstar have to send them both to spend some "clanmate quality time?"
"A complete waste of time.."

The young tom followed his smaller clanmate just a fox-length behind. He strode firmly, his gaze resting on Silverpaw. The apprentice took the task more like a border patrol than a bonding time with her, and he just wanted to make sure she did not get into trouble. He did not voice it, but he didn't really trust her if they were to meet Thunderclan cats. Sleetpaw did not doubt she would probably provoke them and create conflict. "It may be." He meowed from behind as the annoyed she-cat spoke, "But orders are orders, and as Windclan epprentices we must follow." His voice was calm yet firm as he said the words he so believed in.

"Yeah yeah... shut your jaw." The little apprentice snapped, already on edge. There was absolutely nothing to do there, all there was were still trees and blowing wind with the mixed scent of Thunderclan and Windclan. It was quite annoying how he always talked about following orders, and sticking to the rules. Everyone knew they had to follow commands, but she had the right to complain, and said so. "Don't tell me what I should or shouldn't do, Sleetpaw." She rasped, turning her head to narrow her olive eyes at him. "I know very well that I should follow orders. That doesn't mean I'm not allowed to voice my thoughts."

~Sleetpaw~
The light lavender tom dipped his head to his smaller clanmate. He took no offense from her sharp words. As always he remained unaffected. "I am sorry if my words sounded like an order. I did not mean to offend." he meowed simply. He said nothing more in order to avoid further, unecessary discussaion with the touchy she-cat. Instead, his pale amber orbs focused on scanning their surroundings for any sign of something that may need reporting back.

Silverpaw's eyes narrowed even further. "Yeah yeah, whatever.." She said, turning her head back around. Eying a seizable tree, the little she-cat padded up to it. She had never actually climbed a tree before, and thought that maybe, just maybe, the view over the terrain might be better from....up there.
Unsheathing white claws from her petite gray paws, Silverpaw took a good hold of the tree's bark, and proceeded to make her way to one of it's branches. Her silver belly fur brushing against the rough bark as she hung on with all four paws.

~Sleetpaw~
The young tom followed Silverpaw to the root of the tree. Serenely, he sat at its base, his light muzzle pointing up as he watched his small clanmate attempting to climb the tree. He did not say be careful as he thought it would be uneccesary, and unwelcomed, knowing the proud she-cat. He stood there though, just in case. Sleetpaw did not want Silverpaw hurt, not because it was her, but simply because she was part of the clan. Long white whiskers twitched, he did find somewhat amusing that she had chosen to climb; he didn't think Windclan cats were known for that-- at least that he recalled. Yet he silently watched the she-cat raking at the bark, and thought how she could sometimes be so much like a kit. He almost smiled. Almost.

Silverpaw was most uncomfortable. How could Thunderclan cats actually do this? The tiny apprentice edged upward a bit more, not liking how her claws felt in the bark. Spotting the nearest branch, she reached out a short gray tabby paw for it, barely grasping it as she leaped onto it.
"Ha ha!" She cried out triumphantly. Looking down the tree, she spotted Sleetpaw at the base of it. Waving a paw at him, the petite apprentice reached up to a higher branch, and then higher, and higher.
Looking out from between a cluster of leaves and branches, Silverpaw mewed, "You can see everything from up here!"

The lavender tom blinked as he saw Silverpaw wave at him. His fluffy tail twitched from side to side, a sense of discomfort invaded him. It wasn't because she waved, rather because the small she-cat was climbing higher and higher. Perhaps it was something not worth worrying about, he was a bit over-protective after all. Yet Sleetpaw couldn't help but mutter to himself, in his low, soft voice, "don't go too high, Silverpaw..."

This was actually fun. Silverpaw reached higher and higher, until she reached the top most branch. The wind was cooler there than it was on the lower branches, but being a Windclanner, the little apprentice was used to the different temperatures of the wind. Her olive eyes narrowed as she looked down, over the many sprouting green leafs. There was something moving on the other clan's terrain. It looked big... even from all the way up the tree. "Hey, rock head!" She called down to Sleetpaw, "You might want to take a look at this, there is a boar in Thunderclan territory!"

The pale tom's orbs followed his clanmate as she made her way up the tree, and he was tempted to call out to her to climb back down. Yet, when Silverpaw announced what she had seen, his fur involuntarily stood on end. "Keep it down." The young tom half hissed, more to himself, since Silverpaw, way up, would obviously not hear, and further sound would put him in potential danger. His calm demeanor was replaced with the sense of self-preservation that came with danger, yet the cat remained unusually serene for an unexperienced apprentice. His claws dug on the tree's bark as he made his way up. Although he hadn't ever climbed a tree, it came naturally. Once he reached a branch on which he could perch himself he dared speak louder, although still with his monotone voice, "We must report this back to the camp. Pray to Starclan that he doesn't cross the border. For now it's Thunderclan's problem, but it might as well become ours." His narrow orbs searched higher for his clanmate. "How far is it from our border?"

The petite apprentice's eyes widened slightly as she noticed that Sleetpaw was just a few branches below her. When, exactly, had he climbed up the tree? Worry seemed to emanate from him, even though it seemed that he was as calm as any other day. There was something about him that showed his actual feelings....his fur? The way his pupils were dilated? Silverpaw shrugged, turning to look out the cluster of leaves. "It's a few fox lengths away. And not to cause you any more worry, rock head, but it seems to be chasing a mouse over to our clan.." Silverpaw said as if she were watching the most normal thing in the world. Her olive eyes were round with curiosity, she had never actually seen a boar before, and the sight of it's menacing tusks did nothing to curve the fact that she wanted to take a closer look. Jumping down a couple of branches, the gray tabby landed besides Sleetpaw. "There it is..." She said, pointing at the animal with a tiny paw.

"Chasing a mouse..?" His voice trailed off softly. Harks twitched, it seemed to him strange behavior from the predator's part. Yet as Silverpaw landed besides him, and pointed a kit-like paw toward it, his tail lashed with concern. What to do? How far inside Windclan would it go? Artic fox-like ears flattened as he watched the creature. "Silverpaw this is no game." His warning tone was low and soft. Sleetpaw had noticed the she-cat's light hearted curiosity, and he doubted she was aware of the threat that it brought to the clan.

"I know it isn't." Silverpaw said shortly, so immersed in curiosity that she forgot to insult her clan mate. She wanted, no, needed to take a closer look.
Jumping down a few more branches, the little apprentice landed at a safe distance from the ground. She crouched a bit, perching over the branch. The beast was a dark brown color, and it's fur seemed somewhat rough. It's tiny eyes were dark, and it's snout big and wrinkled. Was that foam coming from it's mouth? Silverpaw wondered, too deep in thought to notice that she was edging too close to the branch's weakest part. The tip.
The wood snapped, and the tiny gray tabby fell from the tree. Being a feline, she naturally twisted in the air and landed on all four paws. The noise didn't go unnoticed by the boar, and Silverpaw saw as it raised it's head and looked around for the source of it.

The young tom's usually pale, calm orbs widened, as he saw his clanmate edge to the frail part of the branch. It couldn't hold her weight, and it obviously gave in, causing her to fall. It all happened in a blink of an eye, and Sleetpaw saw himself clasping his jaws on thin air. He had tried to grab her by the scruff of her neck but it had been too late. His orbs watched the creature as it tried to determine the source of the sound. His first impulse was to jump down from the tree and grab Silverpaw, but Sleetpaw wasn't one to be lead by such impulses. Instead his claws dug in to the bark as he hung himself from the tree. Carefully he placed one paw after another, ocasionally looking down at the ground, until he was just a fox length to its base. He let himself fall, noiseless, to the ground. "Don't move." The tom whispered right on his clanmate's ear. He crouched low, muscles tense. They had to stay low.

Silverpaw's heart was beating rapidly as she started at the creature. For the first time since she spotted it, Silverpaw considered the potential threat it was. She edged closer to Sleetpaw as he whispered in her ear, her muscles tense and her ears perked. Yes, they had to remain low. But for how long? The boar could stay there all day for all they knew. "We need to get back up the tree.." The little apprentice whispered, her voice barely audible.

Onewhisker and Puck were near the forest, hunting for different types of foods, tired of people complaining about there being nothing but thin rabbits to eat, if lucky. Onewhisker was crouching and getting ready to ounce upon a small mouse when Puck smelled something odd. He smelled another thing, something that worried him,
"A boar, I smell, Large, furry and filthy, a set of Windclan apprentices, near the boar, Onewhisker! We must go, for they cannot escape alone, most likely."[/i][/b]
He said, not even taking the time to rhyme or even add a rhythm to his speech. Puck lifted all four of his legs in a spring as he burst into the forest, Onewhisker followed behind closely, lifting his nose to the air, it was Silverpaw and Sleetpaw. His eyes became worried as they swept through the forest, Puck stopped, abrupt, and swiped his tail over his mouth, Onewhisker nodded in acknowledgement and repeated the gesture.
When they found both the apprentices, they were against a tree, the boar's back was to Puck and Onewhisker, they snuck around and made gestures, finally they crouched, ready to pounce...

He tensed as she spoke. Sleetpaw knew they had to get up the tree, but had hoped she stayed quiet so the wild animal would perhaps, forget the noise that had startled it. Luckily Silverpaw kept her voice leveled, and the boar didn't notice them. Still, now that it had crossed the border, it was Windclan's problem.
The scent of Windclan registered. It wasn't their own and it wasn't stale. He could make out the scents of the strange former kittypet, and his mentor, the deputy. Glancing at Silverpaw, he couldn't help but feel asured by the two warriors presence, and he was almost sure she had scented them too. He knew they were still in danger, but the odds looked more promising now that they had the deputy and a warrior with them.

Silverpaw could scent the two Windclanners at are near distance, and this reassured her. It was Puck, the former kittypet that spoke so strangely, and the clan's deputy, Onewhisker. She was still tense though, her olive eyes following the boar's every move. It, too, seemed to have scented something. The little apprentice edged closer to the other, her spine's fur brushing Sleetpaw's underbelly. She moved silently, trying not to attract the beast's attention. Hopefully, the warriors would drive it away.

Puck had whispered something to Onewhisker earlier, they mouthed it to the apprentices, the words were, "Run up the tree after we distract it." Onewhisker hoped they understood, as he backed away from the boar, ready to run, Puck nodded at his position and screamed,
"OI!."[/i][/b]
The boar's attention turned to the two warriors, and away from the apprentices, as Onewhisker sped through the forest, the beast let out a breath and followed. Puck ran in the same direction, weaving in and out of Onewhisker, confusing the creature, hoping they were giving the apprentices enough time to climb the tree, they themselves ran along the treeline, looking at the windy moors, they both unsheathed their claws and jumped, at running speed, up the nearest tree to them. The boar just crashed in the trees, trying to knock them down, angrily squealing.
Puck was panting and Onewhisker was as well, but he managed to say,
The apprentices...
They both nodded and closed their eyes, carefully, Puck lifted his tail for balance, and walked out on the long branch nearest to him in the direction of the apprentices. He cautiously leapt off the branch and onto another one, he looked behind him, Onewhiskers eyes were wide with shock.
You want me to...?
He said, biting his lip, he followed Pucks instructions. They hadn't passed through any clearings, so they knew it would be easy to get back towards the apprentices, as long as they were careful.
Luckily the boar didn't seem to notice, or just gave up, chasing them. As they imitated squirrels by jumping from tree to tree, they kept looking around, nervous as to whether they were still in Windclan Territory.

The apprentice wrapped his artic fox tail protectively around himself, and thus the apprentice below him. He could feel the warmth of the silver tabby bundle of fur that was his clanmate under his belly. Amber disks followed every movement the two Windclan cats made, as if trying to determine what where their intentions; what had to be done. Narrowing eyes made out what he hoped he understood correctly. The deputy and the warrior wanted them to climb back to the tree, to safety. He debated between doing so, or helping. Certainly the two apprentices would be more of a hindrance than help. As he noticed the more experienced cats run, he knew that he better follow their instructions, they seemed to have the situation under control.
"Tree. Climb." Sleetpaw meowed in a hurried yet soft tone as he rose from the ground and unwrapped his tail to let Silverpaw out. For a moment he saw the Windclan warriors pelts flash through the vegetation, before he could not make them out. The direction where Windclan and Thunderclan's territory could easily be confused.

It was all happening too quickly. Silverpaw's eyes were wide with with a mixture of fear and wonder, watching both the warrior's moves and the boars until they were out of sight The apprentice could feel her heart beating heavily against her chest as she heard Sleetpaw's words. He, unlike her, had caught what Onewhisker had mouthed.
As soon as the tom's tail was out of the way, Silverpaw crawled out from under him and started climbing up the tree. As she reached the lowest branch, she turned and called to the other apprentice, "Sleetpaw, hurry!" Turning again, she climbed higher. The last she had seen of the two warriors was that they had shot into the woods. Where were they now? What had happened to the boar, and were they safe? Silverpaw's breathing rate would not slow down.

Thunderstar was out on a beautiful day, hunting, she lifted her nose into the air, waiting for the scent of prey to come to her nose. Although what she smelled was a boar. She squinted, worried, they hadn't ever really had trouble with boar, but it wasn't impossible. Looking above her she saw something large in the trees above her, making noise, and hopping from branch to branch. Thunderstar yelped with surprise as she saw what it was, two Windclan cats.
TRESPASSERS! ONEWHISKER! PUCK! What are you doing here!"
She bellowed, still a bit shaken from seeing them in the trees, not even Thunderclan cats did that. She was angry, why were they trespassing? and why were they in the trees.
Puck and Onewhisker heard their names shouted, and almost fell out of the tree in surprise, their eyes wide, they didnt' even notice the thin black Thunderclan leader below them. Puck sighed and worked his way down the branches, Onewhisker did the same.
"Thunderstar."[/i][/b]
Puck said, nodding, and stepping back, knowing it'd be better to let the deputy handle this.
"We smelled a boar, and found it had pinned two of our apprentices against a tree. We were distracting it by running away... We climbed trees, and in order to avoid it, we were going from tree to tree."
He calmly explained, Thunderstar's eyes flashed as she heard about the apprentices,
"Have you found them yet? I do not want my warriors finding them and doing anything foolish."
She said, lifting her nose, she followed the scent of the cats. Onewhisker and Puck followed her, knowing they'd be better off listening and doing as she said.
When they came into the small clearing just over Thunderclan territory, Onewhisker and Puck's ears burned, they realized the apprentices were on Thunderclan territory. Onewhisker narrowed his eyes at his apprentice, wondering if they were chased there, or had been hunting.

The apprentice followed his clanmate, and hurried as she said so. Up, in the safety of the tree he let his tense muscles relax. He looked over at Silverpaw to see if she was alright. They were both a bit shaken, her breath rapid. He flicked his tail to her back ever so lightly touching her as if to calm her, but unsure if she would interpret it any other way.
His gaze fell on the spot where his mentor and Puck disappeared. Could they have crossed over to Thunderclan territory? He hoped not. Undergrowth rustled near them. It smelled of the two Windclan cats and...a Thunderclan one?
As Onewhisker and Puck approached, he noticed a third cat. A black she-cat whom he recognized as the leader of Thunderclan from back at the gathering. His usually emotionless, for a moment hinted surprise. What was she doing here? Since the three cats were on level ground he assumed the threat was over and climbed down to them. Sleetpaw was unaware that during the chase they had been driven over to the Thunderclan side of the border.
He bowed to the leader like he would bow to his own, and said no word. Sleetpaw's nature was act more speak less, and he thought it would be disrespectful to do otherwise in front of another clan's leader, unless instructed to do so. Yet when he stood again he noticed his mentor's narrowed orbs.
"Onewhisker?" Sleetpaw meowed softly, uncertain of what they had done wrong to cause the deputy's indignant gaze.

Silverpaw barely noticed Sleetpaw's soothing tail over her spine, her eyes focused on the spot where the other cats had disappeared. Her breathing was finally beginning to slow, and she closed her eyes for a moment. The rustling of leafs made her open her eyes, and then she saw three cats.
She saw them come through the bracken. Was that Thunderclan's leader, what was she doing here? Filled with curiosity again, she climbed off the tree after Sleetpaw.
Bowing her head slightly to the black she-cat, she stopped just a few paw steps further than the other apprentice. Her olive eyes switched from cat to cat, and they came to rest on Onewhisker. Why was he narrowing his eyes at her. Wait, not at her. But at his apprentice. Turning to look at Sleetpaw, Silverpaw turned her head back again to her deputy, voicing her thoughts, "What's wrong?"

Before Onewhisker could voice his issue, the Thunderclan leader did,
"Did you two apprentices flee into our territory, or were you here already?"
Thunderstar asked, stern but careful not to intimidate the apprentices, she wanted the truth, and she hoped their clans wouldn't have an issue. She was tired of clans not getting along. Her tail swished along the snow covered ground, and she watched the apprentices, her violet eyes watching theirs, making sure they wouldn't lie.
Puck was unsure what to do, so he sat, silent, watching, observing the apprentices, Thunderstar seemed to voice exactly what he and Onewhisker were wondering. They all watched the apprentices.
