Cascadingwater followed her leader. "If the fish become tainted, food could become scarce." She said. She knew how to hunt, but it was far easier to fish. She looked back at the new cat, wondering if now was even the time to invite him to the clans. However, if he couldn't deal with it now then he would be at a disadvantage. A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet. How true, they would have a rough go of it.

Fish Claw goes scouring around the area. He finds an hawk feather wedged in the river very tight."Hey look what I found, I think it is an from an really big bird."He unsticks it, and brigns it to the shore to dry off in the sun.

Cascadingwater glanced absentmindedly at the feather. "Yes, it's a hawk feather." She said. "They eat mice and little prey too. Sometimes they even snatch tiny kits." She said. She didn't know why she said it, but it just came out.

I really want to live in the forest more than I do at home.So would it be ok, if I follow you guys Blackenstar?"Fishclaw was hoping Blackenstar was going to say yes.He really wanted to live in the forest which he felt comfortable in, and also wanted to meet the other cats now.

The leader was still too immersed in the rotten fish before him to pay attention to something like a hawk's feather. "Yes...food will become scarce.." He murmured, then, turning around at what seemed like his name, the tom corrected, "It's Brackenstar, little one, not Blackenstar." He said patiently, moving the soil to cover the rotten fish's carcass. That way, the smell would be less noticeable. "And about you joining Riverclan, I'll have to think about it." Looking back at the two cats, Brackenstar dusted off his paws, "I'll have to warn the clan about this." He said, referring to the tainted fish. |

"Ok, I will wait Brackenstar."He goes to an hollow in an nearby tree and plopped himself onto the ground.He curls his tail around his legs,and falls asleep.He falls deeply into an dream of both the recent events and the past.It then turns into an total nightmare.

Cascadingwater looked over at the tomkit and shrugged. "We should warn the clan, do you want me to round up a hunting patrol to get more land-prey?" She offered, thinking of her sister and their apprentices.

The leader shook his head. "No, Cascadingwater. Tell Flutterbreeze to do so." Brackenstar said quietly. Standing up, he padded to where the young cat was laying and prodded him gently with one of his white paws. "Young one, wake up.." He said, "You are coming with me." Turning around again, he faced the warrior, back on the topic about the tainted prey. "Cascadingwater, make sure you are in that land hunting patrol."

Cascadingwater nodded, glad to be of some use. "I'll just run ahead and let her know, see you later Brackenstar." Cascadingwater said, nodding respectfully before dashing off.

Nodding once to the warrior, Brackenstar said, "I thank you, Cascadingwater." Then, turning to the young cat, the leader added, "You will come with me to camp. I am not planning to leave you here to eat Riverclan fish and perhaps get ill." Turning around, the tom cat started padded up the pool, back to Riverclan camp. "I am introducing you to the clan. You will be one of us."

"Ok Brackenstar."Fish Claw said in an mellow and bland tine, but you could tell by his eyes that Fish Claw was jumping for joy. When they entered he looked around the camp in awe. Right off the bat, his eyes layed on the apprentice's area."Is that where I am going to be living Brackenstar?"He said both curious and excited, but with an even tone.

The leader nodded at the small cat's question. "Indeed, young one, that is the apprentices den. It is where young cats your age that train to become warriors reside." He said quietly, padding deeper into the camp. Ignoring curious glances toward him and his companion, the leader padded to his den. "Stay here, young one, I shall go gather up the clan to announce you and our findings." Brackenstar walked away.
ooc; sorry for crappy post. No muse. Let's end this thread here. We can later make a new one where Brackenstar welcomes Fishclaw into the clan. Perhaps when we have enough kits becoming apprentices so he is not all by himself.
